Albums includes some great guitar and sax interplay and long instrumental jams (sometimes strange "Destruction ofAmerica")
Their styl then landed them a deal with RCA ' s Neon Label for whom they released superb six track LP "Time is " (NE 8) in
1971 (reissused on CD Repertoire REP 4469 WP / 1994 and Akarma Records AK 153 / 2001) and SP "Ride on Pony \
Religion" ( Neon NE 1002) in 1972 .
LP " Time is ..."
1. Ice Queen (Catt/Homewood/Gunn/Fletcher/Greene)
2. Empty Houses (Greene)
3. Insolent Lady (Greene)
a.) By the way
b.) Small Thief
c.) Insolent Lady
4. Miracle Worker (Catt/Gunn/Fletcher/Young)
5. Religion (Catt/Gunn/Fletcher/Young)
6. Sun God (Catt/Gunn/Fletcher/Young)
LP " Time is ..." is a n ultra rare highly collectable release. Album is better in comparsion with LP "Raw Material". First song
includes frozen wind sounds. Hard guitar riffs or sax riffs with keyboard chords are characteristic for: Empty Houses, Miracle
Worker and Religion. Sun God has some mellow, melodic moments with acustic guitar and flute. Insolent Lady has a slow
mellow begining, which in turn evolves into progressive rock.
With commercial success not forthcoming it would seem safe to assume that Raw Material split sometime in 1971. In 1973,
Greene formed the band SHOOT with C.Collinge, B.Russel, J.McCarty and they released LP ("On the Frontier ") and SP
("On the Frontier \ Ships and Sales") both issued by EMI .
